April 12 - SAP Media Day in London

WOW, finally it’s done and all went well. We brought our co-CEOs to London for one day of media interviews. As it is still quiet period and they are not allowed to comment on the actual quarter it was a tricky thing: we had to convice the networks that even without talking about solid numbers Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe are great interview guests who can talk about important business relevant topics and their vision for the economy.

We managed to arranged an unique oportunity: co-hosting Europe’s most influential busienss show – CNCB ’Squawk Box Europe’.
Bill McDermott was the co-anchor for two hours and talked knowledgeable with Anchors Stepheen Sedgwick and Anna Edwards as well as with the guests of the show.

As Squawk Box Europe airs from 6 am to 9 am GMT(London time), you can imaging that the night was a short one.
We briefed Bill right before the show about last-second changes in the rundown as well as about the latest news from all over the world. The nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Japan was one of the major topics that day. The show also commented on the impact of the crisis in Japan and the current debt situation in Europe as well as on comodity markets – gold, silver and aluminium.

Here some impressions:
The second TV appearance was an exclusive 2 on 1 interview on Bloomberg’s “Last Word” with Andrea Catherwood.
Schedule was tight and so was london traffic. The gentlemen arrived exactly 5 (!) minutes before they had to be on air – the show already running:

Bill and Jim talked vividly with host Andrea Catherwood and the rather long 10 minutes segment passed by in no time. The studio itself is located in the middle of the Bloomberg working spaces, rather funny to walk through rows of people wrapped up in work to the setup.

All in all it was agreat success and a wonderful experience in sunny!) London.
